Transportation Information

The Albany School District contracts busing through Kobussen Busses, LTD.

Families that are interested in having bus transportation can fill out the transportation forms from Kobussen. Some families may be charged a $35 per family fee for transportation services if they are within two miles of school.

Parents may contact the Kobussen terminal directly at 608-862-9054 for questions and concerns regarding busing.

Bus transportation will begin on Jump Start days. Kobussen will notify families of pick up and drop off times before school begins. They will conduct a practice run to finalize times.

Transportation privileges may be revoked if the student's conduct is in violation of the District Administrator's administrative guidelines or the Code of Conduct pertaining to student transportation. Such revocation shall be in accord with statutorily-required procedures.

The Board authorizes the District Administrator to install and operate video and audio surveillance on District buses to enhance student safety and well-being.

Transportation of eligible students with exceptional educational needs or attending a technical education program shall be arranged through the use of District-owned vehicles, through cooperation with other districts, through commercial carriers, and/or by other means in the most efficient and economical manner.
