I am so excited to be part of the Comet family. I strongly believe all students can achieve academic, career, and social-emotional success when given appropriate support and interventions. This year I will be using the Little Spot and Second Step programs for guidance lessons. Second Step is a research-based social-emotional learning curriculum that nurtures children's social-emotional competence. I am so excited to be using this curriculum as it focuses on the whole child and building supportive communities. Some topics we will be covering this year are:
