
Ms. Grossman came into Ancient History class today to talk about her study abroad experience in China. She taught the students about Chinese language and writing! We had some fun trying to learn Chinese tongue twisters!

Students in Ancient History just began their unit on Ancient China. We started by taking a look at Lunar New Year traditions in China and around the world. Students were able to make different Lunar New Year crafts (2025 is the Year of the Snake) or research the different traditions.


Tonight's Albany-Monticello vs. Argyle-Pecatonica girls basketball game will be played at Monticello HS. The JV game starts at 6:00pm and varsity will follow. Admission doors to enter Monticello HS won't open until 5:15pm.
The varsity game will be covered on the radio or streaming app by 93.7 WEKZ FM.


The Albany School District is on a 2-hour delayed start (2.6.25). Classes will begin at 9:50AM.

The Albany-Monticello GBB game scheduled for Saturday, February 8th vs. Madison East has been postponed. Whether or not the game will be made-up is unknown at this time.

One of the benefits of a K-12 building is that siblings can work together to learn! The 3rd graders joined with 8th graders in Exploratory Spanish to learn about cognates and animals in Spanish.

We deeply appreciate our partnership with local and county law enforcement, as well as first responders. Their collaboration is essential in ensuring a safe environment for everyone in our district.
Today, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Albany Fire Department, Albany EMS, Albany Police Department, and Green County Sheriff's Department for their support during our safety drill. A total of 17 emergency personnel were on-site, working alongside our staff and students to enhance our preparedness and safety measures.

On Tuesday, our Pledge of Allegiance helper did an amazing job reading the pledge to the whole school.


2nd graders have been learning about Westward Expansion in our CKLA Knowledge unit. Today the students teamed up to review with the class. They shared important information about each topic along with advantages and disadvantages.
