The Six Rivers Volleyball Conference Showdown will take place this Friday, June 27th ~ 6:30pm at Monticello HS. This is the conference all-star match for volleyball between the EAST division & the WEST division.
Our Albany "Lady Comets" will be well represented by players Kierra Cleasby, Anna Ellinger, & Ellie Modaff.
Doors for the match open at 6:00pm with action starting at 6:30pm and admission is $5 per person. (Cash only!) Get over to Monticello HS on Friday night to support these players!
Abby Hollis and Dalana Trumpy have both been chosen for the 2025 WBCA Girls State All-Star Game. The game will be played on Wednesday, June 25th at 9:00am in the Wisconsin Dells.
This is an amazing accomplishment as only the best basketball players in the state are chosen for this game. Anyone that knows Abby & Dalana understand the amazing young women that these two are and how they represent the communities of Albany & Monticello in such positive ways! Part of the goal for this game is to fundraise as much money as possible for several great charities. Abby & Dalana are currently #1 & #2 in the state in fundraising with four days remaining to donate! Any donation for these girls would be greatly appreciated!

Wilderness Literature Trip a Tremendous Success!
The 10-day Boundary Waters adventure was a true capstone experience for our Wilderness Literature course—and what a success it was! Students immersed themselves in nature, pushed their limits, and created unforgettable memories.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to Mr. Evans and Ms. Grossmann for their outstanding leadership and selflessness throughout the trip. And congratulations to our incredible students for embracing the challenge and stepping out of their comfort zones.

Future COMET basketball players hit the hardwood today for the first day of girls & boys youth basketball camp. This is a four day camp for girls & boys entering grades 3-8 next school year. The focus of day #1 was fundamentals of dribbling, passing, & shooting while a lot of fun was had!

After a scenic drive to Johnson Creek, the WIAA regional for today was rained out & postponed until tomorrow. (Wednesday, June 4th) Game time for the game will be 5:00pm. Get out and support the team as they try to advance to a regional championship.

The Albany athletic department & Albany Sports Boosters presented Caleb Smith with a basket full of his favorite goodies today for his trip to the WIAA State Track & Field meet later this week! Our 22 middle schoolers have returned from an amazing trip to Washington DC. There were so many memories made and relationships built during this 4-day adventure! Over 20 historical museums, memorials, tours, and cemeteries provided learning opportunities for these kids!
19 Middle School students started the Comet Elite strength and conditioning program this morning. Choosing to do what it takes to improve is the Comet Way! Go Comets!
Caleb Smith is STATE BOUND! Caleb finished in 4th place in the shot put competition at the Bangor WIAA Sectional to earn his trip to UW LaCrosse next week. Caleb will participate in the WIAA State Track & Field Championships on Friday, June 6th at UW LaCrosse in the afternoon on Friday. Congratulations Caleb!
