Our kindergarten students participated in an Art Walk, where they viewed and shared positive comments about their classmates’ artwork. With the art show approaching, this was a great way for students to practice looking closely at art and learning how to give kind, thoughtful critiques.

Congratulations to Albany HS boys basketball player Ty Durtschi for surpassing 1,000 career points in the varsity game on Saturday, January 31st @ Brodhead. This is an impressive feat for any basketball player, but even more so for it to happen in only Ty's junior season. Congratulations Ty!

Congratulations to Molly Olson on scoring her 1,000th career point in a victory at Benton tonight. It's an amazing achievement for a young lady who has always taken a DEFENSIVE & TEAM-first approach in everything that she does! Molly has been a favorite of the Albany & Monticello communities because of her work ethic, positivity, & team first menatility.
Your teammates & coaches are so proud of you, Molly, and you deserve this recognition. Way to go Molly!

The weather may not feel like Spring, but it's right around the corner. Shared with you is the link for this season's Juda-Albany HS softball apparel options. All orders are due by Thursday, February 12th, at midnight. All sales are through the RBS Activewear website.
Second graders wrote persuasive letters to Ms.Becher requesting some food items be served more frequently at lunch. There were requests for French fries, frozen strawberries, salad, fruit and specifically pomegranates. Ms.Becher wrote a letter back to each student saying that it's important to eat a variety of healthy foods but she still treated them to some fries and pomegranates.

Today our Albany Middle School FBLA students traveled to West Bend, WI High School to participate in FBLA's Southern WI Middle School Regional Leadership Conference. Our students had the opportunity to compete in competitive events, attend workshops, and enjoyed a show from magician Kirk Patrick. They all had a great time and 3 of our students placed in the top 5 of their competitive events. - Jena Jones, 4th Place, Career Exploration - Matthew Thompson, 3rd Place, Exploring Agribusiness - Carter Crain, 1st Place, Exploring Computer Science
Those three and all our other middle school members now have the choice to attend and compete in the FBLA Middle School State Leadership Conference at the Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells on March 8th and 9th.
Great job Chase, Chase, Maddie, Jena, Matthew, and Carter! You all were amazing representatives of Albany Middle School in our inaugural year as an FBLA chapter.
