Art Station Day in Kindergarten!

Today, our kindergarteners celebrated their very first Art Station Day—a special time that comes after finishing a big project. It's a chance for students to explore, play, and create using a variety of materials in fun, hands-on stations.

This time, our creative stations included:
LEGOs – for building imaginative structures and telling stories through design
Straw Building – perfect for exploring shapes, balance, and teamwork
Magna-Tiles – to spark creativity through color, symmetry, and construction

The students did an amazing job and showed so much imagination and joy in their creations!

These kinds of open-ended activities help children develop:
- Critical thinking
- Problem-solving skills
- Spatial awareness
- And most importantly—confidence in their creativity!

We are so proud of their work and can’t wait to see what they’ll create next!

Our second graders kicked off the year diving into the world of tall tales and fairy tales — from magical forests to the legendary adventures of Paul Bunyan! 🌲📚 To celebrate their learning, students came dressed in flannel and enjoyed a fun, lumberjack-style flapjack breakfast, thanks to the amazing Ms. Maggie and Ms. Katelyn! 🥞🪵✨

Fall

Our 1st grade artists recently explored the work of Piet Mondrian, creating bold, colorful pieces inspired by his iconic use of lines and primary colors. This project supported the development of fine motor skills as students practiced using rulers to draw precise, straight lines a great exercise in control, coordination, and patience. They also learned about primary colors and how these serve as the foundation for mixing and understanding all other colors. Through art, students not only created beautiful work but also deepened their knowledge of geometry, color theory, and modern art history.

Due to small numbers, there has been an important change to the HS VB match tomorrow (Thursday, September 11th) at Monticello.

Monticello will only be able to play ONE (1) set for the JV match tomorrow night. This isn't ideal, but it is what Monticello needs to do to still follow mandated WIAA rules. Because of this, the varsity match will start around 6:30pm. The JV match will start at 6:00pm, but with only one set it won't take long. As soon as the one set ends, varsity warm-ups will begin.

Please spread the word about this important change!

Good Morning!

The High School Student Council has begun our biggest sale of the year, the Annual Butter Braid Sale!!

Each year, money from this fundraiser is used to cover the costs of Homecoming events and activities. This year, I am looking to expand the use of funds beyond homecoming and extend towards Community service, outreach, and scholarship opportunities for students.
