The School District of Albany is seeking an Assistant HS Track & Field Coach for the 2026 Spring season. Albany HS competes in the Six Rivers Conference, and this position would assist the head coach in leading the HS girls & boys track/field program positively through leadership, teaching, & guidance. The coach will teach knowledge and execution of basic fundamentals and techniques of running/field events, and prepare a team or individual physically, mentally, and emotionally to effectively compete to the best of their abilities. Coaches need to be available for the entire WIAA season and are paid an extra-curricular stipend for coaching.
The due date for interested applicants to apply is Friday, February 27th, 2026.
Approximate Length of Season ~ March 9th, 2026 - June 6th, 2026

Last night marked the end of an era. Beginning next year, the Albany Comets and Monticello Ponies will co-op in boys' basketball. WHAT: A shoe drive to help fundraise money to help support the events for the Albany FBLA Chapter to travel and compete in division and state competitions. Our Comet Nation chapter’s goal is to have 100 bags of gently used shoes. Let’s “SHOE” them how we come together!
WHEN: February 9th, 2026 - April 9th, 2026
WHERE: Drop off any gently worn shoes at the Albany School District. A bin will be located in between the District Office and the school entrance, as well as other locations throughout Albany (Methodist Church, Albany Lanes Bowling Alley, and Dollar General)
