Seeking Nominations For Local Veterans!
The Albany High School Civics students and local volunteers are looking to honor a local veteran on Veterans Day! Nominations can be made on behalf of local veterans or local veterans are able to nominate themselves. Nomination forms can be found at Greenwood State Bank, Albany Village Hall, Albertson Memorial Library, and soon the Albany Legion.
Once nominations are received, the Quilt Award committee will go through the nominations and pick an individual to receive their quilt at the Veterans Assembly hosted by the School District of Albany around Veterans Day. On Friday, September 20th the Parkview-Albany varsity football team will travel to Dodgeland HS for a match-up at 7:00pm. Dodgeland HS uses digital admission only for specators. GoFan digital is the digital application used to purchase tickets as a specators.
Cash is NOT accepted for admissions. The elimination of fan frustration is contingent on everyone being informed in advance for the need to purchase a GoFan digital admission ticket. Purchasing tickets online in advance of arrival is recommended as it makes for a quick entrance into the event. Dodgeland HS will also have iPads with card readers and trained admission personnel for anyone needing assistance upon arrival - just bring your charge card and the workers will help.
