Congratulations to Caleb Smith on becoming the D3 WIAA Regional Champion in the shot put track & field competition. Caleb set a personal record & school record with a distance of 53 feet - 4 inches in becoming a regional champion! Great job Caleb!

Albany HS JV Volleyball Coaching Position
The School District of Albany is seeking a HS JV Volleyball Coach for the 2025 Fall season. Albany HS competes in the Six Rivers Conference and this position would assist the head coach in leading the girls volleyball program positively through leadership, teaching, & guidance. The coach will teach knowledge and execution of basic fundamentals and techniques of each position as well as team play and prepare a team physically, mentally and emotionally to effectively compete to the best of their abilities. Coaches need to be available for the entire WIAA season and are paid an extra-curricular stipend for coaching. The due date for interested applicants to apply is Friday, June 13th, 2025.
Approximate Length of Season ~ August 18th, 2025 - October 24th, 2025

Thirty-three first responders and members of law enforcement representing Albany, Monticello, Monroe, and the Green County Sheriff’s Department participated in casualty care training held at the Albany School District. We are deeply grateful for the dedication and support of our local emergency responders! Thank you for caring for our community!


The Albany Music Department Mattress Fundraiser was a success! The fundraising company stopped by yesterday to present the music department with a check for $1710! A huge thank you to all who stopped by and supported Albany music!

"The Wilderness Lit. students participated in the Sugar River Cleanup last week! They paddled from Attica to Albany, picked up trash, and cleared fallen trees from the river in preparation for the capstone trip to the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in Minnesota. The Albany School District gives back to the community and creates exciting learning opportunities!"





The first graders enjoyed a fun-filled day at the Henry Vilas Zoo, the UW Geology Museum, and Farnsworth Ceramics!

5th graders traveled to UW-Madison for a fun filled day of science. Students attended a DNA workshop, a Robotics, Automation and Plant Research workshop, and a From Grass to Gas Energy workshop.

The Kindergarten classes had a great time at Old World Wisconsin even if it was a long bus ride! It was so fun to see the kids making connections between what we had learned previously about Colonial Towns and Townspeople through our Knowledge Unit and what they were seeing at Old World Wisconsin.
