
!! 2/19/2024 - DONKEY BASKETBALL HAS BEEN CANCELLED !!
The Albany FFA was notified today that the donkeys and their owner were in an accident. The owner is ok and the donkeys are being checked out by a veterinarian. The Donkey Basketball event scheduled for tomorrow, Monday, Feb. 19th, has been canceled and will be rescheduled in April (TBD). Tickets will be valid for the rescheduled date; otherwise, the Albany, Brodhead, Parkview, and Evansville FFA will buy back your ticket.

Congratulations to Albany wrestler Jayden Anderson who finished with a 5th place finish at the Trailways Conference Championships last weekend. Congratulations to Jayden Anderson & Nick Stokstad as Parkview-Albany won the Trailways Conference HS wrestling team championship!



Tonight's Albany-Monticello GBB game vs. Argyle-Pecatonica will be VARSITY ONLY! Game time is scheduled for 7:00pm with warm-ups starting at 6:40pm. Due to an expected large crowd, the doors for admissions and entering the gym won't open until 6:00pm.

This is open to students, staff, and public from 7am-12pm. Students are only permitted to order from 7-7:40am and 11-11:50am, unless accompanied by an adult. Our first grade friend turned in his CARE coupons for a chance to sit in Mr. Ritzerts principal's chair for the day!


7th Grades students made bubbles to compare a circle's diameter and circumference and find they are always related by a factor of pi. Then they derived the formula of circumference to be pi multiplied by diameter.







Today we recognized three individual staff members for representing our Measures of Excellence. They demonstrate excellence in Communication, Commitment, Teamwork, and Professional Growth. Congratulations to (L-R) Brandon Bakken, Melanie Inabnit-Bakken, & Robin Seavert.


Another exciting day for the Albany School District. Today we had our Quarter 2 C.A.R.E Assembly. 28 Albany students were acknowledged today for their outstanding achievement. 36 additional students had their C.A.R.E coupons pulled to claim remarkable gifts. There is something so SPECIAL when our schools all come together(4K-12) and we acknowledge our magnificent students. We also welcomed six new students to the Iron Comet 500 pound club. Way to go Comet Nation!
