JUMPSTART DAY#2 - Making Memories!
On Wednesday, August 21, 2024, the Albany School District Board of Education formally approved a resolution seeking a 3-year, non-recurring operational referendum. Information about the referendum can be found on the District website (www.albany.k12.wi.us).
The District will provide multiple avenues and opportunities to receive information and have questions answered about the referendum. We look forward to working with our community throughout this process.
We are seeking volunteers for a Quilt Award Committee to honor a local veteran!
As Veteran’s Day approaches, we are excited to announce an opportunity for community members to participate in a meaningful and heartfelt project. We are forming a Quilt Award Committee to select a deserving veteran (out of many) to receive a handcrafted quilt at this year’s Veteran’s Day celebration. The Quilt Award Committee will be responsible for taking nominations of local veterans, establishing selection criteria, and choosing the recipient based on the set criteria.

Get your COMET gear now for the upcoming school year. Below is a link for Albany Comet apparel and other items. This online order opportunity is through RBS Activewear in Argyle, WI. There are items in men, women, & youth sizes. There are also THREE different designs to choose from along logos that are sublimated or embroidered on apparel, headwear, & bags.
When you go click on the link you will see a header with DESIGN 1, DESIGN 2, DESIGN 3, BOTTOMS, & MORE for embroidery options. Click and open up all options to see what is available. (Youth sizes are available on certain items)
The order deadline is 11:59pm on Sunday, September 8th. Orders will be delivered to the school within 3-4 weeks of the order deadline. Please join us for our annual Back to School Night Event on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00! Students can meet teachers, drop off supplies, and see friends. School supplies are available for students at the district office entrance. Students and families can enjoy a free dinner thanks to the Albany WI Chamber and our amazing community partners.

Yesterday, the Albany School District staff spent the afternoon with members of the Green County Sheriff's Department training for threat situations. We greatly appreciate them sharing their expertise. It was a great experience!
Thanks to the Albany Lion's Club and generous community members, we are able to offer school supplies to families that need them. Supplies are located outside of the District Office at 309 Vinton St. Albany, WI. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 - 3:00. Supplies can also be picked up at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 27th from 5:00 - 7:00.
Parkview-Albany varsity football is back! The Parkview-Albany Vikings will host Beloit Turner in their season open this Friday night. Kickoff is at 7:00pm at Parkview HS. Let's fill the bleachers to support our Parkview-Albany players for this season opener. GO VIKINGS!
Hello, with school right around the corner, Kobussen is going to be doing their time runs tomorrow Wednesday, August 21. Please feel free to keep your eyes out to get an estimate on your child's pickup time. All bussing times will be entered and viewable in Infinite Campus by 3 pm on Friday(8/23).

The volleyball programs are offering an opportunity for people to order volleyball apparel for the upcoming seasons. The Albany School District is proud to offer an amazing 4K program. Students attend full days, five days a week, allowing more opportunities for fun with friends and early learning. Registration for the 2024-2025 school year is open for district students who will be 4 before 9/1/2024. Students need one physical every two years. Alternate year card filled out on years opposite of a physical. An updated physical is due to be on file by the first day of practice of that specific sport.
