Our 22 middle schoolers have returned from an amazing trip to Washington DC. There were so many memories made and relationships built during this 4-day adventure! Over 20 historical museums, memorials, tours, and cemeteries provided learning opportunities for these kids!










19 Middle School students started the Comet Elite strength and conditioning program this morning. Choosing to do what it takes to improve is the Comet Way! Go Comets!



Caleb Smith is STATE BOUND! Caleb finished in 4th place in the shot put competition at the Bangor WIAA Sectional to earn his trip to UW LaCrosse next week. Caleb will participate in the WIAA State Track & Field Championships on Friday, June 6th at UW LaCrosse in the afternoon on Friday. Congratulations Caleb!


Our Middle School students are having a blast in Washington DC! The US Capitol building and the Washington Monument were some of the highlights.










The Albany Comets track & field team will be well represented in WIAA sectional competition on Friday, May 30th @ Bangor HS. The following team members have advanced to sectional competition:

Field events for sectional competition will start at 3:30pm and running events at 4:15pm.

Congratulations to the Monticello-Albany baseball team on their WIAA regional win tonight over Benton-Shullsburg. With the opening round victory, Monticello-Albany advances to 2nd round competition at Johnson Creek on Tuesday, June 3rd!


The Middle Schoolers had a great time at their end of the year field trip to Urban Air!











After Urban Air, the Middle Schoolers stopped at the Madison zoo for a quick exploration and some field games at the park!







Congratulations to Caleb Smith on becoming the D3 WIAA Regional Champion in the shot put track & field competition. Caleb set a personal record & school record with a distance of 53 feet - 4 inches in becoming a regional champion! Great job Caleb!

Albany HS JV Volleyball Coaching Position
The School District of Albany is seeking a HS JV Volleyball Coach for the 2025 Fall season. Albany HS competes in the Six Rivers Conference and this position would assist the head coach in leading the girls volleyball program positively through leadership, teaching, & guidance. The coach will teach knowledge and execution of basic fundamentals and techniques of each position as well as team play and prepare a team physically, mentally and emotionally to effectively compete to the best of their abilities. Coaches need to be available for the entire WIAA season and are paid an extra-curricular stipend for coaching. The due date for interested applicants to apply is Friday, June 13th, 2025.
Approximate Length of Season ~ August 18th, 2025 - October 24th, 2025

Thirty-three first responders and members of law enforcement representing Albany, Monticello, Monroe, and the Green County Sheriff’s Department participated in casualty care training held at the Albany School District. We are deeply grateful for the dedication and support of our local emergency responders! Thank you for caring for our community!



The Albany Music Department Mattress Fundraiser was a success! The fundraising company stopped by yesterday to present the music department with a check for $1710! A huge thank you to all who stopped by and supported Albany music!
