2n grade students created cities using only one shape, like a square or triangle, for their background. They then designed a character out of the same shape. On the final day, they received a "Shape Passport" and "Boarding Pass" to travel with their shape buddy to different "Shape Cities," exploring how shapes can be used in art and storytelling.

Good Afternoon Albany Staff, Community, & Athletic Teams: With winter athletic home events starting next week, this is a REMINDER of our newest LIVE STREAMING opportunities for viewers of Albany Comet athletics. For several years now, livestream viewers of Comet athletics have become accustomed to the convenience of watching Albany athletics on YOUTUBE. (Albany Media) This has proven to be very convenient and user friendly for all of our Comet supporters. From this point on, that option is no longer a possibility due to circumstances outside of our control. School districts all across the state are dealing with the same situation and changes that have to be made. The relationship between HUDL & YOUTUBE applications no longer exists and the two don't work with each other. Here is the good news!!! Starting this winter season you will still be able to watch Albany athletic events for FREE, but will have to go through a different application to do so. Albany athletics will now be livestreamed on the following address: https://fan.hudl.com/usa/wi/albany/organization/132699/albany-high-school Attached/shared is a PDF of some helpful tips to download the HUDL FAN app to your phone or SMART TV. GO COMETS!

On Monday, our Middle School choir students took a trip to Monticello to participate in a conference choir event. They had a great time and made some great music to share with other students from around the area. We are very proud of our singers!

On Monday, November 11th, the Civics class was proud to support our local Veterans with our annual Veterans Day Assembly. This year we had the privilege of recognizing 36 veterans from in and around our community. The elementary students did a wonderful job on the coloring contest, and they also helped lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Our middle school students wrote very thoughtful thank you letters to our local veterans as well. This year we introduced something new and were able to award a local veteran, Ray Laughridge, with an Honor Quilt made by a group of local volunteers. It was a very special moment for Ray and community. Thank you to those in the community that were also able to attend and celebrate our Veterans. There were also great performances from the band and choir. If you missed the livestream, you can still catch it on the school's YouTube channel. We also have a link to photos on the school’s social media pages. Thank you to all of our veterans! It was an honor to recognize you! Here is a link to additional photos.
