The Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction (DPI) has released the 2024–2025 State School and District Report Cards, and the Albany School District has climbed into the TOP 20% of school districts in Wisconsin! This marks a substantial and steady rise in percentile rank over the last three state report cards.
The Wisconsin School and District Report Cards evaluate schools annually in four key areas:
• Student achievement in English language arts and mathematics
• Academic growth from year to year
• Outcomes for students who require additional support
• Student engagement indicators, including attendance, absenteeism, and graduation rates
District Percentile Rank Growth
2022–2023: 12th percentile (bottom 12%)
2023–2024: 44th percentile (middle 44%)
2024–2025: 81st percentile (top 19%)

• 4th in the Six Rivers Conference (14 districts)
• 7th among Six Rivers Conference + local districts (23 districts)
• 4th among 10 larger districts in the region
School-Level Ratings
Albany Elementary School: Significantly Exceeds Expectations – Score: 85.2
Albany Middle School: Exceeds Expectations – +12.1 increase in performance score
Albany High School: Exceeds Expectations – +5 increase in performance score
Superintendent Kurt Soderberg shared that the results reflect years of hard work and collaboration among staff, students, and families.
“We are pleased with the results of our 2024-2025 state report cards. These results are are a reflection of the hard work of staff, students, and the support of our community,” Soderberg said. “Our staff collaborate constantly and take great care in understanding what each student needs to succeed. They are committed to preparing every student for the future they choose. This achievement also highlights the strong partnership we have with our families, our community, and our hardworking students who rise to every challenge.”
