Attention students:  Anyone interested in saying a thank you to veterans or say why Veterans Day is important to them for our upcoming Veterans Day program, please email Mr. Campbell.  The video clip will be recorded and added as part of our program.  Students should contact Mr. Campbell by the end of the day on Wednesday so he can record your message before the end of the day on Friday. 

Albany has TWO HS CC runners who advanced to the WIAA State Meet that will take place THIS Saturday, October 31st.  Ava & McKenna will be riding on a fire truck that will start at the Albany Village Ballpark at 1:15pm this Friday, October 30th. Elementary students will line up on Fifth Avenue and HS/MS students will line up on E Main Street accompanied by your teachers.  Masks should stay on for students/staff even with the event being outside.  Congratulations girls and Good Luck!
If you are interested in applying to be in the 2020-2021 Albany Student Council, please complete an application and return to Mrs. Russell by the end of the day on Tuesday, November 3rd. You will be receiving a copy from your Class Advisor through your Class Google Classroom.  Please print off a copy or pick one up from the table just inside the door of the Family and Consumer Sciences Room.   

Community Service Opportunity: For every 5 canned goods you bring for the FFA Food Drive starting November 2nd you will receive 1 hour of community service.  Please mark your canned goods or bag you bring them in with your full name, so you can receive the hours.  If you have questions please see Ms. Schulz.
If you have fewer than 10 hours of community service and are interested in helping with the FFA canned food drive please reach out to Ms. Koehn or Mr. Schulz for more information. 

The Albany Junior Comet League is now accepting registrations for the 2020/2021 youth basketball season.  Our organization provides basketball opportunities for students in grades 3-8 who are enrolled (in person or virtually) within the Albany School District.  Students who live in the Albany School District and are home schooled are also eligible to participate.  You can access the registration site by going to our website ( and clicking the registration button on the top right corner of the home page.  Due to the uncertain times with the COVID-19 pandemic, this year the registration fee is $20 per participant with family discount.  The registration deadline is October 30, 2020.  Any registrations after that date will be assessed a $10 late fee.  
The end of 1st quarter is THIS Friday, October 30th.  HS/MS students are all your assignments turned in.  

Below is the link to the Albany Comet Basketball apparel options for this upcoming season.  The store is now open & ready to start processing orders.  Anyone can order from this online opportunity.  (Players, parents, teachers, youth, etc...)  Click on the link and place your order.  All orders are due by 11:59pm on Monday, November 9th.  Apparel should be delivered to the school around December 1st.  Make sure you review SIZE OPTIONS & COLOR OPTIONS while placing your order as all sales are final once placed.  We don't have any gators or masks on this order form, but we will have some available for purchase in the coming weeks on a separate order.

Our FFA  will be holding their annual food drive this year.  It will run November 2nd- November 30th. We will be having it the same as last year where the homerooms will compete and there will be a winner for each - the Elementary, Middle and High school.  
Lunch today: Fish Sandwich, Peas, Fruit, Milk
Breakfast Tomorrow:  Assorted Cereal, Animal Crackers, Juice, Milk
